Vancouver
- One of the best cities in the world!
According
to a March 2005 edition of the Metro newspaper, "Vancouver
is third out of 215 cities in the world for best place to
live"! This was determined by the "annual
quality of life survey released by Mercer Human Resource Consulting",
the Metro reported. |
Also,
in 1995, the Corporate Resources Group in Geneva, Switzerland, released
a ranking of 118 major cities in the world based upon living and
environmental conditions. The City of Vancouver won a silver medal
as the second best city in the world.
Vancouver is one of the most remarkable cities you'll ever visit.
Vancouver sits at the edge of the Pacific Ocean. Nestled snugly
in and around the slopes of snow-capped Coast Mountains. Where your
need for the city is satisfied and your yearning for nature is indulged.
The Fun Attractions
of Vancouver!
Hike one of three local mountains in the morning, or walk on one
of 16 beaches. Sail in the afternoon, or wander part of the 1000-acre
Stanley Park downtown. In the evening, stroll Robson Street or visit
the bistros on Granville Island. Tour the Vancouver Aquarium Marine
Science Centre, Maritime Museum, or Vancouver Art Gallery.
Summer is the perfect time to catch a show at one of many live theatres,
a symphony at the Orpheum, the opera at Queen Elizabeth Theatre,
or even an outdoor performance of Shakespeare. Treat your taste
buds in our outdoor cafés, European-style bistros and four-star
restaurants.
While you won't run out of things to do, Vancouver's also
the ideal retreat to do absolutely nothing at all. Truly the best
of both worlds.
Have Fun While
Learning English in Vancouver!
For ESL students, Vancouver is perfect. The English spoken
here is standard, proper, and easily understood around the world.
The city is clean, safe and has a year-round mild climate.
It is also breathtakingly beautiful.
Vancouver is just minutes from 8 beaches,
3 ski mountains, and Stanley Park! Located in the heart of
downtown Vancouver, our school is surrounded by shops, malls, sports
facilities, restaurants, and art galleries.
In the past three years Vancouver was voted as one of the top ten
"best destinations" in the world by the readers of Condé
Nast Traveler magazine.
